One of the most prevalent health problem in many countries around the world is depression. Indeed, researchers have concluded that a majority of people will experiencing clinical depression at some point during their lifetimes. As a result, all people should at least have a basic awareness of what different depression treatment regimens are available in the 21st. Indeed, when it comes to depression treatment, there are a number of different options available to people afflicted with this possibly debilitating disease.

If a person is suffering from a mild, isolated case of depression, an effective depression treatment program may include more sleep, an improved diet and increased exercise. In some instances, a combination of these recourses does result in an effective depression treatment regimen.

Many people find themselves suffering through a more serious bout of depression. In such instances, a depression treatment program must include professional assistance. When consulting with a qualified health care professional, a depression treatment program that includes therapy and medication or medications is likely to be recommended.

When it comes to a depression treatment program, medications are helpful to aid in the reduction of the symptoms that commonly are associated with a depressive illness. With that said, in most cases, it is important that a depression treatment program include therapy. Therapy is an important element of a depression treatment program in many cases to assist the afflicted patient with discovering the root causes of the depressive illness with which he or she is afflicted.

In some instances, a depressive illness is so serious that a depression treatment program includes inpatient hospitalization. In most instances, a person who is hospitalized for a depressive illness will only be confined for a short period of time — for a matter of days. The goal of hospitalization as a depression treatment regimen in the 21st century is patient stabilization. The long term treatment will be conducted on an outpatient basis. Long gone are the days (in most cases) in which stabilization and intensive treatment occurs while a patient is involved in an inpatient depression treatment program.

In recent years, many mental health care professionals have again begun to advocate the use of EST (electro-shock therapy) for patients who have a more profound depressive illness. For some period of time in the 1970s and 1980s, EST as a depression treatment option was frowned upon by a wide sector of the mental health care professional community. However, in recent years, the techniques associated with EST have been refined and many doctors have come to see beneficial results in their patients who are subjected to a depression treatment regimen that includes EST. But, again, EST is utilized as a depression treatment option in only a limited number of cases in which the depression of a particular patient is severe and unabated over an extended period of time. As with depression treatment programs that include medication, patients who receive EST also participate in a course of therapy to try and discover the root causes of the depressive illness.

In 2002, a new top level domain extension called .info became available for people to register with no restrictions. This new domain option opened a whole new avenue for individuals who lost out in the .com registration process and had their desired name already taken by someone else. According to a press release issued by the Afilias, an organization that provides global registry services for the .info extension, .info has recently surpassed 1,000,000 registrations since it’s inception just over a year ago. The movement of the .info domain into the mainstream has been illustrated by companies using the extension for ad campaigns and by individuals using the domain for personal use. These individuals, often looking for a more fitting .com alternative, are also using the easy-to-remember .info names.

A more than fitting illustration of the .info creative versatility is Jeremy Robinson, who is using a .info domain name to break into the acting industry and one day fulfill his dream of acting on Broadway. As an actor, Jeremy has made numerous acting appearances in theater including West Side Story, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Godspell, and Fiddler on the Roof. He has firsthand experience knowing that a .info domain name has the power to be an effective marketing tool when used in the right way.

I asked Jeremy Robinson a few questions about his new .info domain name. Here is what he had to say:

Shaun Cronrath: Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Jeremy Robinson: I have many years experience in the acting industry mostly involving theatre. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School, a music conservatory in Hartford Connecticut . I am currently living in the New York City area to pursue my acting career, and I guess you’d call me a starving artist, going back and forth to auditions, waiting for that “big break”. I aspire to be on Broadway one day so I can experience my passion for acting.

Shaun Cronrath: Can you tell us about your domain name?

Jeremy Robinson: My domain name is JeremyRobinson.info. I use my .info domain name on my resume and as an electronic portfolio so agency’s and casting departments can contact me, learn about my acting talent, and view my headshots. JeremyRobinson.info enables me to give 24/7 access to casting departments who are looking for the acting talent and image that I possess.

Shaun Cronrath: How did you think of this idea?

Jeremy Robinson: I didn’t really think of using a domain name and web site as a way to promote my acting career until I came across DomainPurpose.com. They gave me the idea to use a domain name as a tool to further my acting career. DomainPurpose.com inspired me to put my passion for acting on the Internet in the form of a web site and share my talents with an online audience.

Shaun Cronrath: Can you share with us any obstacles you overcame while registering your domain?

Jeremy Robinson: Being that .com is the most popular and most known domain name extension, I originally wanted to register JeremyRobinson.com, but it wasn’t available. When my first domain search returned the disappointing news, I had to figure a way to keep my full name and brand intact. After learning more about what .info had to offer, I chose the best alternative to .com and registered a .info domain.

Shaun Cronrath: When did you realize that promoting your acting career via a .info domain could turn into a successful marketing tool?

Jeremy Robinson: I realized that using a .info domain would be an effective marketing tool when I started to understand the meaning behind the domain extension. I didn’t want casting departments and other people to think I was trying to sell myself to them, so using .info gives the impression I’m looking to give. So now when I give my web address out to casting departments they know that JeremyRobinson.info is the place to go to find out more information about me and my acting talents.

Shaun Cronrath: As a successful .info domain name owner, do you have any words of advice for others who are thinking about using a .info domain name as a marketing tool to help promote themselves?

Jeremy Robinson: A .info domain name is the perfect domain extension for people who want to find information about you and what you have to offer. Don’t get discouraged if your .com name is already registered. Instead of being discouraged, rework your domain strategy by using the next best thing, a .info domain! It worked for me!

Shaun Cronrath is the President & CEO of DomainPurpose.com, a domain name registration company offering all the major domain extensions –.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .ca, .us, .cn, .eu, .de, .pro and more.

The most immediate benefit of VoIP for most businesses is savings on long distance charges. Companies equipped for VoIP can place long-distance calls over the Internet rather than the PSTN and avoid paying long distance charges. Since most companies already pay for broadband Internet connections, the only additional requirement is the equipment that connects telephones to the IP network.

The so called “VoIP revolution” in telecommunications can benefit many consumers. The group who stands to gain the most….if they’re smart…are small businesses.

In addition to the cost savings, bringing voice and data together on one network opens the door to new services. Advanced conferencing, unified e-mail and voicemail messaging and dialing calls by selecting from a computer contact list are just a few of the new service possibilities.

The benefits of VoIP can go beyond free long distance calling and new services. Because VoIP integrates voice calling with the IP network, small businesses of the future will only need one network to operate, rather than separate telephone and computer networks. A single integrated network is cheaper to install and maintain, and there would only be one network service bill to pay. We recommend Packet8 service for small businesses of today…..and tomorrow.

But fully converged networks are a long way off for most small companies. Today, traditional PSTN telephony is still crucial for the vast majority of small businesses. Since most of the telephone calls for the majority of small businesses come from local callers using the traditional telephone network, small businesses need to maintain their traditional PSTN links. For those small business where VoIP doesn’t make sense yet we recommend using a “Best Rate Calculator” to optimize your PSTN usage and cost effectiveness.

During the design phase of some metal work projects you will be faced with the question of how you should tackle a project, some projects have a fine line between the decision of whether you should fabricate from steel or sheet metal, or to cast metal in a sand mould.

It is possible that you already may have had a project where you cannot decide between making a complex pattern to sand cast the project. Or to leave the foundry equipment in the corner, and attempt to fabricate the component from steel or sheet metal.

Now, once you learn the tricks and techniques of sand casting, you are
normally hell-bent on casting everything in sight. But have you ever thought that the one off part or project you are about to embark on may be produced much quicker through fabrication, than it is to make up a new pattern, then go through the entire foundry processes of: Making of patterns, Making Sand Moulds - Charge & melt a crucible of metal, and then pour the molten metal.

There’s often been times in the workshop where the latter, (to fabricate)
has been the most economical, and the quickest way to produce an item in steel, instead of cast aluminium or bronze. One of the major problems with most hobby casters, is the lack of machine tools & equipment to carry out proper fabrication operations.

Now, there’s no need to feel as though you are an inadequate metal
worker just because you do not possess general workshop fabrication
skills or equipment, because you may never have had the opportunity to learn them, but with a little guidance and proper instruction, it is not that
hard to learn how to operate the following machines.

Bench or Pedestal Drill: Equipped with drill table vice, plus a good set of high-speed steel drills.

Collection Of General Workshop Tools: The usual workshop hand tools, engineers hammer, hacksaw, various grades of files, center punches, engineers rulers, vernier callipers, etc, etc.

Welding Equipment: Oxy Welding Outfit, ideal for light sheet metal fabrication and brazing or bronze welding, an electric arc welder ranging between 150 to 200 amps.

Bench Grinder: Bench grinders are designed to accept various other pieces of equipment such as belt linishing tool, drill grinding and sharpening jigs,

Hand Held Angle Grinders: These great workshop tools come in 4″, 6″, 9″ size, handy for finishing the edges of metal, cleaning up weld beads or cutting light sheet metal, various resinoid discs can be mounted on the grinder, Last but no least, is the bench lathe, probably luxury item to a lot of home workshop people but worth its; weight in gold if you can afford to buy one.

Screw Cutting Bench Lathe: Keep a look out for a good econd-hand lathe from dealers or private sales. A lathe will pay for itself many times over in a very short time.

If you are really serious about building your own gear, or fabricating
special tooling etc, then why not use the vast resources offered by
the technical colleges right in your own community.

Your taxes help to equip these institutions so why not reap some
benefits from your community contributions.

Enrol in some night classes; to learn welding, machining or whatever
it is that takes your fancy, there are hundreds of thousands of dollars
worth of gear sitting idle in many of these colleges, so make some
Inquiries, enrol, and get to use some of the gear bought, and installed
by you’re hard earned taxes.

This cultured world is for elite individuals with contacts and/or mining experience?

Not even close

Did you know you can cash and carry diamonds, rubies emeralds and every other precious stone that interests you? The lasting value of diamonds is known by everyone. But you may not realize that entry level opportunity investors can pyramid substantial profits by involving themselves in this highly lucrative industry.

Why?

You will be astounded to realize that precious stones are paid for by non-industry buyers who decide by emotional decision. Per Ca-pita, the most avid consumers of precious stones are wealthy females. Money is rarely the issue. There is an “intrinsic value” index that precious stones can be measured by. But when it comes to the retail buyer of these beautiful sparkling symbols of eternity- they are paid for by the “thrill” and not by the carat.

Many affluent individuals are very sophisticated in their buying habits. They rarely buy “rocks” premade into jewelry. They prefer to focus on buying the “rocks” separately and have an artisan craft the finished product usually having an input into the design process.

Horse shoe diamond ring anyone?

This particular attribute of the precious stones industry makes it so astoundingly lucrative. Buyers fall in love with certain aspects of a particular stone. Often a high price tag and a few choice words of objective justification of the price can add 30% or more value.

Now that is low-cost value adding. An investment objects ultimate measure of value is simply somebody saying “yes, I’ll take it”
How to achieve that is up to you as a professional “price justifier”

Please don’t think for a moment that this is pushing ethical boundaries. How else do commodities get valued if not by measuring the markets willingness to pay a price. After all, if somebody has enough discretionary income to pay $19,090 for a little polished rock, then how can getting $22,000 for it be any more unethical.

The value is measured in the satisfaction it brings the new owner. Your price justifications manufacture that permanent happiness and install permanent, portable value into the stone they just bought.

There are several pieces of information you need to know, to become specialized in this field. It isn’t rocket science. Stone clarity, weight and the quality of “cutting” are a few examples.

There are many good resources on these topics. As an opportunity investors our interest is limited to the final outcome…..the deal. So discovering the fundamentals is all we require to make a good living and building enourmous wealth with semi precious stones gems and diamonds.

Warm Regards

Sacrifices have to be made as soon as your result from the pregnancy test proves positive. Bungee jumping stops as of now, cut down on the intake of alcohol and tobacco. It is common sense to follow the rules from all medical advisors which in return will help you to understand the needs of your new unborn child.
By adhering to all advice from your doctor/midwife may help making the birth a pleasant experience.

Women who have mothered broods of babies know what to expect in the delivery room like water off a ducks back to these professionals. But for the first child expectant mother it is a whole new world. Mums to be for the first time will experience either fear/happiness all because of the unknown.

All mother’s have a story to tell about their time in the delivery room and should these tales be told to you in an attempt to ease your fear then all I say is, listen to what you want to hear.

The fear factor is what most first time female species experience in pregnancy, fear of pain being top of the list but in fact having to face the unknown holds a stronger presence in causing unnecessary stress which I hasten to add is, not good for you or your baby. If having babies were so bad why do women go on rising the numbers in family editions.

Women’s needs and wants differ greatly in pregnancy, you will find some enjoy the whole nine month cycle very fulfilling where as others see it as a taboo gaining excess weight/ fear and pain . Things you normally would do before conceiving will have to be approached in a different manner depending on the chore or task because of the new life you are carrying.

Expecting a baby is a doddle nothing changes apart from having a figure like a sumo wrestler and forget any plans of squeezing in and out of tight places. No matter how much you breathe in, it just isn’t happening. Unfortunately there are women who have difficult pregnancies so this is why it is important to listen and heed all medical advice…

There will be times you go off your food and suffer heartburn you may even experience a little back pain, but hey guess what, so do a million other people. Discomfort towards the delivery date is to be expected because we have an infant ready to make his/her grand entrance into the world to meet mummy/daddy. So be prepared for a few kick in the ribs.

Cries of sheer jubilation when it is all over, this is when cradling your new born in your arms you know it was all worthwhile.

A few tears may flow before the birth when labour kicks in with pain pangs coming every two to three minutes. Labour pains can only be explained in comparison with severe stomach cramps.

The magical potion to put a stop to labour pains is the actual birth.

Some women sail through the actual birth but for those who need help in dealing with the discomfort there are pain killing antidotes… Bringing an infant into the world can be a fabulous experience; but because women carry babies differently there are choices and options for delicate procedures in the delivery room on how matters are conducted in theatre.

Regardless of the mother’s personality delicate/rough the end result is the same, a bouncing baby boy/girl and if lucky one of each.
Listen to all medical advice given then that way you have a 100% chance of having a perfectly healthy baby.

Women who stuck by the rules and still lost a child then all I can say is that your little boy/girl must have been a very special baby for the lord to have chosen for his angel.

Whenever you send a text message from your mobile phone it goes through a network provided by your cellular network of choice. Virtually all of the major wireless networks in North America have some sort of message center, which routes text messages to make sure they make it from sender to receiver.

SMS messages are by definition very short (under 160 characters), meaning that they use up very little bandwidth when compared with regular voice calls.

The SMS text messaging format was originally designed for use with GSM (Global System for Mobile) networks, but has since been extended to more advanced wireless technologies, including high-speed 3G networks.

“A new baby brings a lot of joy and hope to a family. It also brings some uncertainty. You may be concerned that your home is too small, or that you need a larger car, among others. Whether you are expecting your first or your fifth child, chances are that you need baby gear! There are hundreds of different items that you need when the baby arrives, and it is important to remember that stocking up doesn’t mean you have to clean out the bank account. If you do a little bit of research beforehand, you can get everything that you need at a fraction of the retail price. My favorite money saving tool is the e-coupon. You can sign up for e-coupons at a variety of different retailers, and start savings instantly.

The first question that a new parent-to-be asks is “what gear do I need?” There are many things that are convenient to have, and many things that are a “must have.” Once you distinguish between the two, you can start stocking up on the “must haves”. I recommend that you start shopping for bargains early on in your pregnancy. You will save more money, and eliminate the last minute rush that many parents undergo. Most baby sites will provide you with a checklist of the baby “must haves.” Print this list out, and then begin to compare prices and makes and models.

Every parent-to-be is on a budget. The trick is to make the most out of that budget. First consider looking at local yard sales for various baby gear. You can often get some cheap deals, on things that are in good shape. If you are looking for some really good deals, go online. There are hundreds of different baby sites, which offer many products at deep discounts. If you use an e-coupon service, you can get coupon codes to save even more on the items that are “must haves.” Most of these services are free to use, and can save you hundreds on your favorite baby gear. You may also try an auction site like EBay. I have found some great deals on items that you need everyday, like bottles and bibs.

Shopping for baby on a budget can be a lot of fun, if you approach it correctly. Create a list of the items that you want to shop for, and stick to it. Look for discounts and deals both locally and online. In no time, you will have a nursery full of baby gear ready and waiting for your new little bundle of joy! Congratulations and happy shopping!”

Melanie Breeze, avid online shopper and user of www.CouponChief.com is always shopping around for the best deals. You can find baby coupons in addition to other discounts available for children at CouponChief, all in one location. Finding a coupon before any online purchase helps you get that extra discount! With a new baby, you need it.

Finding a good place to play poker is a must. If one is to play online for large stakes then they are going to want to find a poker room that’s going to deal them decent hands when it counts. Some poker sites constantly deal crappy hands that can keep a player down on his luck.

Paradise Poker is a great site. Some people know this site as the “World’s Premier Online card room”, On this site there are constantly tournaments going on and a player will always find some high stakes game to enter. People have mentioned that this game has the most pleasing graphics and yet it is not crowded with all sorts of unnecessary icons. For those players worried about the security of their money, Paradise Poker has shuffle card reviews from a highly recommended company, Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Poker Stars never have a time where there is not a large tournament going on that anyone can enter. Popular with most of the free roll players, the site offers some enjoyable aspects to the programming. Although the site, itself can appear rather chaotic with the extensive graphics that people can use as their icons.

Ultimate Bet may not have the financial status to back it up, but it certainly has a few well-known players such as Annie Duke, Russ Hamilton and Phil Hellmuth. One great aspect about this room is that it includes a rather nice feature where players can minimize their gaming table on the screen, allowing them to play multiple tables easier.

Most of the time, Ladbrokes has encounters worth watching, and for added reliability they are connected with the Hilton Group. Sponsoring a huge tournament in Europe where they don’t accept US players is an annual competition known as the Ladbrokes Poker Tournament. Although the software is nothing extraordinary, it can still provide one with hours of poker entertainment.

Poker Room has a variety of options. Of those include multi-table tournaments, as well as Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, Hold ‘em as well as a host of other casino games. For those players worried about viruses, don’t be, there isn’t a download is needed to game on Poker Room. With the addition of a good links section, players are allowed to play a free roll with play money, which includes tournaments.

Prima Poker is more of a group of poker sites rather than a single room and boasts a minimal wait time before a game is available. With twenty-one sites from which they use to collect players for a game, it doesn’t matter where you connected to the site from, there will be a game started.

Full Tilt is another great online poker site. Although the graphics may appear slightly childish, Full Tilt’s interface can be a lot of fun, especially if the cards aren’t flopping your way. With Team Full Tilt, this site boasts some of the best players in the game, including Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Phil Ivey this site has earned its bragging rights.

Relatively new to the scene is Hollywood Poker. Unlike any other site, Hollywood Poker allows players to game along side some of their favorite actors including James Woods, the official spokesperson. The graphics aren’t anything special; however, they do offer a cornucopia of options allowing players to maximize their experience.

“Combatives” from the root word COMBAT - “to fight in direct contact”, “active fighting between enemies”, “any fight or struggle”.

Well, let’s see………………..There is ONE singular glaring absence in the above definition. Notice it? Absolutely NO mention of Fairbairn, Applegate, or Coach Hanley. No mention of Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Savate or any member of the Gracie family. No mention of World War Two, the Punic Wars or the Spartans. No mention of Juji-Gatame, a smashing overhand right, an edge of hand blow, or even a good old kick in the butt!

Get it? THERE ARE NO SPECIFICS that define what is or isn’t so-called “COMBATIVES”! So why do so many people feel such an overriding need to “define” combatives into a narrow scope of limited methodology? “I know what you do”…………………..”That Fairbairn stuff”. A month ago this same guy thought FAIRBAIRN was simply a decent suntan. “Yea, I base my combatives on Applegate”……………..six months ago this dude thought Applegate was the entrance to an orchard! Everybody’s an “expert”. At what exactly? I’m not sure even “they” really know.

I won’t presume to speak for ANYONE else that uses this term “combatives”. Actually I wouldn’t want to! All I can do is offer a CORRECT semantic observation and proffer my view on what encompasses my study, training and understanding of so-called “combatives”.

If you really do your research and homework you will see that even in manuals describing man to man combat that are CENTURIES old there exists a very COMPREHENSIVE survey and presentations of MANY forms of armed and unarmed combat. ALL in the same manuals! A vast array of weapon skills are shown and even the “unarmed” combat is a diverse mix of “techniques”. Before the use of London Prize Ring rules and the Marquis of Queensbury, “pugilists” used and relied on a great number of different grappling/striking/kicking and gouging methods. Ancient Greek Pankration was a combined system of “ALL POWERS” combat. The original Koryu Bujutsu of the Samurai included a comprehensive catalog of both armed and unarmed skills. The unarmed combatives of the Japanese Bushi also DIDN’T limit scope or method. Grappling was stressed when THAT was the best method of gaining tactical superiority. Striking, kicking and even BITING was resorted to when THAT was deemed the most appropriate method. The Chinese have ALWAYS maintained fully robust systems of combat that included all manner of striking, punching, kicking, throwing, strangling and joint-locking. Original Okinawan Te (Ti) included percussion methods as well as “tegumi” and “tuite”. Punch his lungs out if that did the job best. Kick his gonads out the top of his head if THAT worked best. Or grapple him into submission and control OR grapple him into a spine lock and neck break. Whatever was called for and whatever GOT THE JOB AT HAND DONE!

The 19th century saw many methods of “combined” self-defense systems develop in the West. The French combined elements of Chausson/Savate (Basque Zipota as well) with Boxe Anglaise, Parisian Lutte, and even the “new” Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. The British did the same. The “BARTITSU” of Barton-Wright is a classic example. In the US a number of “self-protection” methods became available to the public that combined methods from Boxing and Wrestling. EVEN before any “organized” systems were presented, men who “fought” even for “sport” used virtually ANY device to insure victory. Just read Elliot J. Gorn.

The Twentieth century saw even MORE “mixed” combat systems. It CERTAINLY didn’t take a Sherlock Holmes to figure out that in a REAL fight ANYTHING goes. Any and ALL manner of grappling, throttling, kicking, kneeing, butting, biting, punching, gouging, stomping and whatever other methods of mayhem could be employed were ALL “FAIR” when “fair” meant the difference between life or death. And it CERTAINLY didn’t just end at “unarmed” fighting! A “Gentleman” beset upon by a rough and tumble “footpad” on a lonely and desolate backstreet would feel perfectly JUSTIFIED in running said “footpad” thru and thru again with his sword cane or bashing his brains in with a “lifesaver”. Even when the highwayman wasn’t even armed with a lowly brickbat. What’s that old saying? All’s fair in love and war. Often it’s not a matter of who’s “right”, but simply who’s LEFT!

This IS “combatives” pure and simple. Whatever WORKS BEST at the time! A sort of “mixture” of varied fighting skills. HEY………………..wait a minute! A “mixed” fighting system? What a NOVEL IDEA!

Our next installment will look at “combatives” from the Russo-Japanese war and World War One thru to our “brandy new” millennium and all our new age “innovations”. Should be fun!
