Proposition 58 Infomation

Filed under: Briefings, Real Estate Parlor, World Of News @ 1:20 am

The buying and selling of real estate is a common occurance in every locale. Real estate is a quite complicated process as there are many steps needed to acquire property and also many laws the govern the transfer of properties. In the state of California this scenario is no different. The law Proposition 58 is of significant importance for numerous property owners. Under Proposition 58 property owners are able to transfer their real estate to their kids without having to get the value of their home reassessed. This provides much relief for people who are looking to take possession of their parents’ home once they pass away or relinquish ownership of the home. With the law of proposition 58 people can recieve ownership of property and avoid costly tax increases. Over time real estate appreciates in value and property taxes go up as a result. As a result homes get more expensive to buy and own. For people who are looking to take over the reigns of a parents’ home, the tax increases can create a considerable burden for them and they will be convinced to sell the proeprty instead of owning it. However with the law people will have an easier time of owning the property without the costly property tax increases.

What Happened to the Environment?

Filed under: Marketing, Science Tips, World Of News @ 8:47 am

Does anyone remember last year around this time? Because I sure do! Last fall all we ever heard about was the environment, pollution, the changing climate and so on and all because Copenhagen was hosting the Cop15 meeting in the late fall. For several months leading up to that event all the news medias were focused on the environmental issues. Whenever you opened your newspaper, your TV, your radio or whatever, all they talked about was how we ruin the climate and how we need to fix it. As soon as the Cop15 was over everybody seemed to forget those things again. Maybe it was because the Cop15 turned out to be quite the disappointment, or maybe it was because other, more interesting things happened or maybe it was simply because of the news factor, but now, one year later, everybody has forgotten all about the environment. This fall the 3GF will take place also in Copenhagen, but only few people knows about it. For whatever the reason the 3GF has not been advertised much and the medias have not felt like picking up the story. I guess the environmental stories don’t sell anymore. Maybe the environment just went out of fashion?

The Best DVR for Video Surveillance

Filed under: Security Info, Web of Blogs, World Of News @ 5:04 pm

In a perfect world, there would be no need for surveillance. Everyone would do their work, no one would steal, lie, cheat, or vandalize, and nothing would need to be watched or guarded. That would be nice wouldn’t it? But in this world, our world, there are many things wrong, one of which is the habit many people have of doing all the bad things listed above and many more. That’s why surveillance is so important, and why it’s so important for individuals, businesses and corporations alike to invest in the best technology for their security when it is needed.

Security cameras is one of the most effective ways of keeping an eye on areas and things that are left alone or that need special guarding. Video surveillance has been used for a long time, almost ever since video technology has existed, but the technology has gotten much better since it was first invented. Presently the best video surveillance systems are DVR or digital video recording based, meaning that everything recorded goes into a computer for review and storage.
DVR is much better than older ways of taking video surveillance including VCR techniques. With VCR the process was much more analogue and required a multitude of VCR tapes that needed to be changed almost constantly. In those times video surveillance was a much more hands on job, and on top of it after all the work you put into it the video quality was relatively poor. With DVR all that changed. DVR used a DVR card to connect to a computer. A DVR card like a Geovision DVR, one with high quality and fast processing, can connect a variety of cameras, sometimes as many as 16 or more, into a single computer for easier recording and viewing. With this completely digital way of capturing footage your whole video surveillance process becomes much easier. For one thing, you don’t have to be changing tapes every 6 hours, and you can easily stream and archive the data with only the click of a mouse.
You can keep months of video footage on a large hard drive and that way have lots of video to reference and review in time of need. Best of all this technology is much more stable and harder to break than the old system, and you have much less chance of breaking it because you will hardly ever be moving it. On top of that when you are using Geovision DVR cards you can access it from a variety of places. You can check your surveillance cameras from a computer café PC or a friend’s computer. If you need a good surveillance system then there is no better option you can choose for your money than a Geovision DVR card. A DVR card of that quality means you get the best product for your money, and it’s a whole lot easier to use and install than most other options.

911 Faqs And More Questions

Filed under: World Of News @ 1:06 pm

The number 911 has been in the news quite frequently in the last couple of years.

911 is the emergency number dialed by people when they need fire, police or ambulance assistance in a hurry. In the year 911 the Lower Seine area was ceded to the Norse invaders under Hrolf Ranger as the Duchy of Normandy (treaty of St Claire sur Epte).

Anastasius III became Pope from 911-913.

The Danes started the towv of Drogheda in Ireland.

9 11 also stands for the horrendous attack by terrorists on New York City and the Pentagon in which thousands of people were murdered.

Here are some pertinent questions that to this day still have not been answered:

Why did the FBI stop their investigation in Mid 1996 of two of Osama bin Laden’s relatives in Washington and a Muslim organisation, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth?

Was it because they had orders from higher up to stop any investigations related to the Bin Laden Family?

Why did George W.Bush give the order to stop inquiries into the terrorist connections of the Bin Laden family based in the US and abroad in early 2001?

Why did the US Government allow all the Bin Laden Family members to fly out of the US while all other air-Traffic was grounded? Was it because the Bin Laden family has been funding the Bush family politically for a long time?

Why did none of the 19 hijackers appear on the passenger lists involved in the 4 hijjacked planes? Can you explain, why none of the indestructible Black Boxes have been found at any of the crash centers? When was the last time George H.W. Bush travelled to the Middle East on behalf of the privately owned Carlyle Group, one of the largest defense contractors in the U.S. and what was the purpose of that meeting? If we knew that there was a terrorist attack going on, which we did, and we suddenly have two trade towers in New York being obviously hit by terrorist activity, and we also knew of commercial airliners changing course from Boston to Los Angeles, then where was the response of the defense establishment once we saw the diversion of the aircraft headed west from Dulles turning around 180 degrees and, likewise, in the aircraft taking off from Newark and, in flight, turning 180 degrees?

Answer:

Commenting from CNN on the timeline, 9:03 is the correct time that the United Airlines flight crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center; 9:43 is the time that American Airlines flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. And 10:10 a.m. is the time that United Airlines flight 93 crashed in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

Discrepancies between Joint Chiefs of Staff investigations and findings of the 9/11 commission:

There was a highly classified United States Special Operations Command program under the command of the U.S. Special Operations Command .It was created as a result of a directive from the Joint Chiefs’ of Staff in early October 1999 by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Hugh Shelton ,to develop an Information Operations Campaign Plan against transnational terrorism, “specifically al-Qaida.” According to statements by Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer and confirmed by four others, Able Danger had identified the September 11, 2001 attack leader Mohamed Atta , and three of the 9/11 plot’s 19 hijackers, as possible members of an al Qaeda cell linked to the ‘93 World Trade Center Attacks.

The group used all information legally collected under the rule of law. Primarily consisting of classified information, all publicly obtained information was approved after a legal review of SOCOM lawyers. The early identification of the four hijackers by Able Danger appears to contradict the official conclusion of the 9/11 Commission, that American intelligence agencies had not identified Atta as a terrorist prior to the attack. This has resulted in a political controversy that has begun to damage the credibility of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission.

After Katrina - Seven Things You Can Do

Filed under: World Of News @ 1:58 am

If you are like me, you are living some distance from the devastation wrought by Katrina. If you are like me you not physically impacted and can watch the plight of others on television in the comfort of your home. And if you are like me, you are wondering what you can do.

I believe the answer to that question is an important one. It can help define who you are and what you have and choose to give to the world. The list that follows is not meant to stimulate your thinking. It is meant to stimulate action. All of us can do all of these things. And in doing them we will not only be helping others, we will be helping ourselves deal with and grow from these events as well.

Give Resources. You have heard it and will hear it often. The resources required by these events will be unprecedented. Open your wallet and give. It doesn’t matter which charity you choose, just give. Pick a number, then add to it. Do a search on Katrina relief to find places to contribute. You can give more than money though. Perhaps you have other resources that you could offer. Spare blankets or other supplies will inevitably be leaving from your community in the coming days. Watch for these announcements and donate. If you know someone affected, or know someone who knows someone, perhaps you can provide a spare bedroom. You can even support relief efforts each time you search the internet. Go to http://allgive.com to search and learn more.

Give Yourself. If your situation allows, perhaps you feel drawn to go and help. If you are thinking about that and you can, go. Many of us won’t be able to go and lend a hand directly. You can still give of time and talents locally and have a direct impact on efforts there. Organizations like The Salvation Army and The Red Cross will be spread thin for months. If you volunteer in your town, more physical resources can remain on the Gulf Coast longer.

Encourage Others to Give. This is a way for you to give of your talents. Use the leadership and influence skills that you have to encourage others to give. If you own a business, match employee contributions to relief efforts. If you are involved in any sort of organization, start a fund raising effort. A colleague of mine sent an email saying he would match any gifts given by those on his list up to a total of $500. Every person could do this. Ask yourself who you could influence and how you could personally help increase giving. Get creative! And get started.

Say a Prayer. Regardless of your religious beliefs, or how you would state this, say a prayer. Say one for those who have lost family. For those who have lost their homes. For those who are sick or thirsty or hungry. And say a special prayer those involved in rescue and recovery efforts - those giving of themselves to make things better for others.

Keep Your Perspective. It is sometimes hard to keep a healthy perspective as you watch the events on television. It is easy to let the worry and concern become overwhelming. Do yourself a favor and don’t let these events overpower your life. Be grateful for your situation. Rethink how upset or frustrated you become at little inconveniences or challenges, because these situations mean little in the bigger scheme of things, and the events of recent days should make this very clear to us.

Conserve. Our country is going to be dealing with the aftermath of Katrina for a long time. There are other little things that we can do that will make a difference. Conserve fuel. Carpool to work. Combine your errands, or just stay home. Turn off your air conditioning and turn off the lights. Fossil fuels will be in short supply and every little bit helps. Plus every dollar you don’t spend on fuel, is another dollar you could choose to donate to relief efforts.

Give Again, Later. Many will give now, but agencies like The Red Cross will tell you that after the situation leaves most people’s conscious thoughts, the needs will still be great. Make a commitment now to make another contribution later in the year. One way to do this is to reduce your holiday spending and earmarking the difference for Katrina relief.

I’m sure there are many more things that you can do to help both yourself and others in the coming weeks. It matters less what you do than that you do something. That is my urging to you. You can make a difference, but only if you take action.

One of the ways I am taking my own advice to “Encourage Others to Give” is by offering you (and anyone you know) a choice of a 6 month membership to our Powerquotes Plus service, a $30 value, or a seat in our tele-seminar, The Leader as a Coach, a $49 value, if you simply let us know you made any donation at all. Denmark Cartoons or Islamic Caricatures - Six of One or Half Dozen of the Other

Filed under: World Of News @ 10:37 pm

Denmark’s Jyllands-Posten newspaper issued an apology and whisked it off to the Jordanian news agency Petra for publishing cartoons that supposedly were insulting to the prophet Muhammad. The arguments about the poor taste of the cartoonist notwithstanding, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Denmark’s prime minister says he and his government cannot apologize for the country since the newspaper is independent and not an agency of the government. To most people this makes sense but Islam is not most people.

It would seem that this entire tip toeing around Islam is far above absurdity and much closer to insanity. Can anyone remember an apology coming to Indonesia for the bombings there by radical Islamists? Did the British get an apology for the bombings of its subway? Who has heard one representative of any radical Islamic group apologize for the death and destruction wrought in America on 9/11?

Is the apology offered by the Danish newspaper for there lack of taste and discretion or is it for other reasons? Is it because boycotts of Danish products like milk, insulin and food stuffs? Or finally is it the fear or reprisals in the form of terrorist attacks on embassies, public places, schools and homes. Perhaps it is only a reasonable attempt at diplomacy that a free nation would employ under any circumstances in a civilized world.

Terrorism by any other name is still just terrorism, insulted prophets notwithstanding. If free nations have decided not to negotiate with terrorists on any level then we are forced to ask, why then are we making apologies for cartoons? Last time I looked, no cartoon had ever toppled a building or killed a child in the street.

The behavior of radical Islam is creating a cartoon all on its own. It is more like a caricature than a cartoon. A caricature by nature is a cartoon that depicts something by exaggerating it’s most prominent or obtrusive qualities. The “would be” beauty has hips and other feminine features exaggerated to say she is voluptuous. The guy who wants his strength accentuated has the artist draw muscles way out of proportion to his body to accentuate that point.

Islam has been creating a caricature not with brush or pen for the last several years all around the globe. It has exaggerated features including the bombing of men, women and children almost always without mercy, without warning and without reason. Not one apology has ever been offered for this dreadful radical Islamic cartoon.

I have been warning Christians for over thirty years of the coming portent of the world’s last dictator commonly referred to as the Antichrist. It is well known to them that the bible clearly predicts that he will exalt himself above every other world leader before him and above every kind of worship of God, be it the worship of the true God or some aberration, heresy or cult. II Thessalonians 2:4 “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

It is barley known to the Muslim faith and certainly would not be heeded or even acknowledged but that last dictator will make no apologies to them either. He will endeavor to crush every major religion in the world. He will momentarily succeed but not with warfare of force but rather by drawing the entire world into an economic system that no one will escape.

Only a handful of westerners have ever converted to Islam in its entire history because of pictures it draws much like the Danish cartoon. Those pictures make a caricature of its ugliest components which are death, judgment and punishment, both on an unwarranted and unreasonable scale. Maybe civilized people still prefer pictures of a gentle Savior with children around him. Or a woman caught in adultery saved from stoning by a merciful Messiah who came to save the world rather than judge it. Millions of people have been converted by these pictures and will be much more until the end of time.

Social Media for up to Date News

Filed under: Media Resources, World Of News @ 9:33 am

Social media news sites such as propeller, digg and stumbleupon are great for finding up to date news. Social media sites have become very popular in the past few years and much of this is due to the user contributed content that power them. Social media news sites work through users submitting news stories, blog posts, and images from the internet.

Other users will vote for the stories and the most popular stories will be on the front page of the site and / or their respective category pages. In theory, this should mean that the most interesting stories will be on the frontpage and the stories will be up to date. Some examples of front page stories are Obama’s inauguration and the latest Microsoft exploits. However, due to the open nature of social media sites, they are also open for abuse. Some people can make multiple accounts on these sites and also create large groups of friends to vote on their own stories.

This creates an artificial front page and lowers the visitor experience of such sites. The motives behind self promotion include acquiring quality links, branding and getting traffic to a website.Fortunately many social media sites have measures to counteract these types of abuse such as IP banning, domain banning and algorithmic account banning.
