What Are Some Options For Acne Control?
Since acne can cause unsightly scars and emotional repercussions like lowered self esteem and depression, its best to look for forms of acne control before the problem gets too overwhelming. The cheapest option to treat acne is to go to your local grocery store and try some acne products. Everyone is different and has different causes for their acne breakouts. It could be stress, hormones, adolescence, climate and a whole range of other factors. For this reason it’s hard to know what will help one persons acne.
I can say for my personal bout of acne, trying the different acne medicated cleansers and harsh soaps at the grocery store were not helpful. They made my skin extremely dry and even more irritated, which I later learned usually leads to more breakouts. So these things did exactly the opposite of what I wanted them to do. I found a better option for acne control when I washed my face with a gentle soap and applied medication prescribed by a dermatologist only once a day. Exposure to sunlight also helps my skin, as long as I’m not out too long because getting sunburn is bad. You just want to be out long enough to get a good dose of vitamin D into your system.
